Maybe you’ve been looking forward to #GivingTuesday since this time last year or maybe our recent Facebook posts have just left you wondering, What is #GivingTuesday?
Here’s a quick explanation from givingtuesday.org: Now in its fourth year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
As a non-profit organization, the Buffalo Bill Center of the West relies on charitable donations from individuals all over the world to fulfill our mission to inspire, educate, and engage global audiences through an authentic experience with the American West.
On #GivingTuesday, we’re asking all of our friends and followers to go all in with $10 and help us kick off the 2015 season of giving with a bang!
