Watching the Medicine Man

There are no known records for exhibitions in the early teens except for 1912.  The drawing, cool lighting, and interior setting of this painting, Watching the Medicine Man, however, resemble works in that 1912 exhibition at the University Club in Cincinnati, and this work probably dates from that period.  It has hints of The Malcontents that was included prominently in the University Club show.
