Hunting Son

Though much larger, this appears to be a companion work to Shelling Corn of 1925. (related image, #253) Hunting Son was a title that appeared first in the late teens.  Three paintings featuring this popular model posing alone appeared in Sharp's Cincinnati exhibition at The Traxel Art Galleries in 1925 - one titled simply John, another called Hunting Son - Firelight (#581) and a third, Hunting Son, which is thought to be this work. In Shelling Corn and this, Hunting Son, the poses and moccasins seem to be similar.
