A Response—and a great horned owl for our flock!
The very first message I sent in regards to a bird was for a female Great Horned Owl with a wing injury. She was in Utah at Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation. On April 27, I received a message that the owl had already found a new home, but they also had a male Great Horned Owl with almost the exact same injury that needed a home as well and wondered if we would be interested in him.
Of course we were interested!!!! Being a great wildlife care facility, Second Chance asked for lots of information from me to make sure that we would provide a great home for this owl. After exchanging several emails and photos, it was agreed that this male would be absolutely perfect for our program.
We had our first bird lined up!!!!! Isn’t he handsome!
